Getting Started

Welcome to Lyro, the AI customer-support agent that answers your customers automatically. This guide walks you through your first run: signing up, creating a workspace, and using the guided setup assistant to get an agent live.

The first-run path

When you sign up, Lyro takes you through three quick steps before you land in your dashboard.

1. Sign up

Create your account to get started. Once you are signed in, Lyro checks whether you already belong to a workspace and, if not, sends you straight to onboarding.

2. Create a workspace

A workspace is where everything lives: your agents, knowledge bases, conversations, and team. On the onboarding screen you simply give your workspace a name (for example, "Acme Support") and select Continue.

Tip: You can invite teammates later from your workspace settings, so there is no need to set up your whole team before you start.

3. Use the guided setup assistant

After your workspace is created, Lyro opens a built-in AI setup assistant. Just describe what you want, and the assistant does the heavy lifting for you. It can:

  • Crawl your website and turn pages into knowledge
  • Create knowledge bases and articles
  • Create and configure agents
  • Define skills and assign them to an agent
  • Set up a chat widget
  • Connect a channel

The assistant talks you through each action and shows its progress as it works. When you are ready, you can also select Skip to dashboard to set things up yourself.

Note: The setup assistant is optional. Everything it does can also be done manually from the dashboard at any time.

Recommended first steps

Whether you use the assistant or work on your own, these are the three steps that get Lyro answering real questions fastest.

StepWhat you doWhy it matters
Create an agentSet up the AI agent that will reply to customersThe agent is the persona and brain behind every answer
Add knowledgeImport your website, docs, or articlesLyro answers from your content, not guesses
Deploy a channelAdd Lyro to your website or another channelThis is where customers actually reach your agent

Create an agent

Your agent defines how Lyro responds: its tone, the skills it can use, and what it is allowed to do. Start here so you have something to train and deploy.

Add knowledge

Lyro answers from the content you give it. The fastest way to start is to crawl your website, but you can also create knowledge bases and articles directly.

Deploy a channel

Once your agent has knowledge, connect it to a channel so customers can start chatting. The chat widget on your website is the most common first choice.

What comes next

After your agent is answering, explore the rest of the dashboard to improve and scale your support:

Tip: You do not have to finish everything at once. Create an agent, add a little knowledge, deploy the widget, and refine from there as you watch real conversations come in.
